Buying

Do I need an account to browse?

No. Browse freely. You only need an account when you want to buy or sell.

How does payment work?

Pay through Gofted via Stripe. Your money is held safely by Gofted until you confirm the item arrived as described. We never store your card details.

How is my money protected?

We hold your payment safely until you're satisfied. The seller doesn't get paid until you confirm receipt. If something's wrong, you have 24 hours from delivery confirmation to raise a dispute.

Is the payment secure?

Yes. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified. The same security standard used by major banks. We never see your card number.

What if the item doesn't arrive?

If 5 business days pass with no tracking update, contact us at hello@gofted.com. We'll cancel and refund you in full.

What if the item isn't as described?

You have 24 hours from delivery confirmation to raise a dispute. Email us with your order reference and photos. We review both sides and make a binding decision.

Can I make an offer?

Yes. Use the Make Offer button on any listing. The seller can accept, decline, or ignore it.

How long does delivery take?

Sellers have 5 business days to dispatch. Most UK deliveries arrive within 2-4 days after dispatch.

What do the condition grades mean?

New with tags: Unused, tags still attached. New without tags: Unused or unplayed. Very good: Minimal wear, no significant marks. Good: Normal use, some light marks. Satisfactory: Used regularly, visible wear, priced accordingly.

Selling

Is it free to list?

Yes. No listing fees. We only charge when your item sells.

What's the service fee?

A small service fee is added to the buyer's checkout total. As a seller, you receive the full listed price — the fee is paid by the buyer, not you. The exact fee is shown clearly at checkout before any payment is made.

When do I get paid?

Payouts run daily. You'll typically receive payment within 2–3 days of the buyer confirming receipt. If the buyer does nothing, payment is automatically released 24 hours after delivery confirmation and included in the next daily payout.

How quickly do I need to ship?

Within 5 business days of a confirmed sale. Upload the tracking number to your Gofted account.

What if a buyer raises a dispute?

We'll contact you for your side. Provide accurate descriptions and keep dispatch records. Invalid disputes (change of mind, minor wear) are decided in the seller's favour.

What can I sell?

Clubs, bags, trolleys, shoes, clothing, balls, accessories. Golf equipment only. Accurately described. No counterfeits.

Do I need to meet the buyer?

No. Everything online. Ship the item, they confirm receipt, you get paid.

AI Listing

How does the AI listing feature work?

When you start a listing, you can upload photos and let our AI analyse the images. It identifies the club type, brand, and model, and suggests a title and description for you. You don't have to type a thing to get started.

How accurate is the AI?

For well-known brands and popular models, the AI is usually very accurate on make and type. For older, limited edition, or niche clubs, it may need some help. Always review and correct anything it gets wrong before publishing — your listing description is your responsibility.

Can I edit what the AI generates?

Yes, completely. Everything the AI suggests — title, description, condition, price — is editable before you publish. Think of it as a first draft, not a final answer.

Does the AI set my price?

No. The AI doesn't set your price. That's your call. In future we plan to offer AI-powered pricing suggestions based on comparable sold listings, but for now you set the price manually.

Packaging & Delivery

What box do I need to post a golf club?

It depends on the club type. Drivers and woods need a box of at least 120cm. Individual irons and putters need at least 100cm. Iron sets need 130cm or more. Our packing guide has a full breakdown with recommended sizes.

Where do I get a box?

Online retailers are your best bet — golf club postal boxes are widely available and often cheaper in packs. Your local packaging or DIY store may also stock long postal boxes. Some golf shops will give away spare boxes from deliveries if you ask. Don't count on picking one up at the Evri drop-off point — they don't reliably stock long boxes.

Should I get a box before my item sells?

Yes. Once your item sells you have 5 business days to dispatch. If you scramble for a box after the sale, you risk delays. Order a box when you list — it costs a few pounds and means you're ready to ship the moment you get a buyer.

What if I don't have a printer for the shipping label?

No problem. Evri supports QR code drop-off at many ParcelShop locations. Your label is emailed to you and you simply show the QR code at the ParcelShop — nothing to print. Check your local ParcelShop supports this when you drop off.

Is shipping insured?

Evri's standard cover is £25 per parcel. For items worth more, we recommend adding transit protection at checkout (currently £1.99), which covers loss or damage up to £300 via XCover insurance. This is optional but strongly recommended for anything over £30.

Is Gofted UK only?

Yes, for now. UK addresses required for buyers and sellers.
